In 1998 I graduated Baylor University as an undergraduate, completing my degree in just over three years. In the Spring of 1999 I entered Baylor University School of Law School, where I was able to graduate just over two years later in April of 2001. Currently I own and manage Alexander & Associates, a boutique law firm that specializes in DUI/DWI defense. Since opening my firm, I have successfully negotiated and tried criminal cases in both County Courts and District Courts throughout the DFW metroplex. A prosecutor once told me that I was "a damn good lawyer" and a Judge told me that I demonstrated “superior trial skills.” I am always appreciative of the positive remarks that are said about my legal abilities by my colleges, clients and Judges.
Prior to opening Alexander & Associates, I was a criminal prosecutor for the Denton County District Attorney's Office. As both a prosecutor and a defense attorney I have been in more than one hundred criminal hearings and trials. I learned through my experience as a prosecutor that preparation and tenacity wins cases. It is my goal to win a case outside of the courtroom, saving you time, money and heartache. However, when the prosecutor doesn’t see their case for what it is, or isn’t, I am not afraid to take your case to trial. Alexander & Associates is a trial lawyers firm, and I stand behind that.
When I left the DA’s office is was never my intent to start my own business. However, after seeing the need in our metroplex for a hardworking, aggressive, and honest attorney, I decided to do things my way. I started with a one room office and have grown into a boutique firm, including multiple associate attorneys which all seek my goal, serving you. I have been involved in the Criminal Defense Bar, including being Treasure and past President of the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Additionally, I have been a director on the board of lawyers for the Denton County Bar Associations and a member of the College of the State Bar. Most importantly, I keep myself informed and educated on Texas DUI/DWI law without spreading myself too thin that I can’t properly take care of your case. I attend DWI/DUI seminars yearly to stay up with the current trends and laws. I actively read case law and articles written by my colleagues to give my clients their best day in court. I never loose site of my prize, and that is the satisfaction of my client.
